Swedish Massage

Swedish massage involves long, flowing strokes, often in the direction of the heart, along with kneading and circular movements, all while using massage lotion or oil to minimize friction. Used most often for its relaxation benefits, Swedish massage is the common “introductory” technique for people who have never experienced massage before.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on realigning the deeper layers of muscles & connective tissue. It’s most beneficial for tight and tense muscles, or over-worked areas such as stiff necks, lower back tightness, sore shoulders and legs. Some of the same strokes are used in Swedish Massage Therapy, but the movement is somewhat slower and the pressure applied is deeper and always focuses on areas of tension.

Couples Massage

Share a private moment of relaxation alongside a friend or loved one. Two tables and two therapists are set up, where each person receives individualized treatment simultaneously.

Couples massage is a unique way to enjoy each other’s company, and can strengthen your closeness. While talking is always appropriate, you may prefer to remain quiet and enjoy the peaceful silence. Your therapist may need to discuss your areas of concern (i.e. tension in certain areas of your body) before your massage begins. If you do not wish to discuss these types of issues in the presence of your loved one please relay your wishes to your therapist before your massage therapy session begins.

It is important to book your couples massage in advance as we need to ensure one of our couples rooms will be available.

Hot Stone Massage

If an escape from the cold winter months is what you're looking for, you'll find it in our Hot Stone Massage. Our stones are heated and placed along the spine and other areas of the body as the therapist works in fluid motions rolling the oiled stones over the skin, acting as a warm and comforting extension of their hands. Hot stone therapy can be incorporated into any massage treatment, though may require a specific therapist.

Lava Shell Massage

Lava Shell Massage is a deeply comforting and relaxing full-body massage that uses naturally self-heating Tiger Clam shells from the sun-kissed shores of the Philippines. These marine polished sea shells glide smoothly over the body and are used as massage tools to release muscle tension and blocked energy flow to provide a sense of balance to the entire body and mind.

Prenatal & Pregnancy Massage

Taking care of yourself means taking care of your baby. Prenatal massage provides a large number of physiological and psychological benefits to both the pregnant woman and her unborn child. It can reduce anxieties and depression, relieve muscle and joint pain (especially in the lower back), reduce swelling, improve circulation and even improve sleep. Swedish massage is typically what we recommend, and depending how far along you are in your pregnancy, our therapists will know the appropriate position and techniques to leave you feeling your best. We offer both pre and post - natal care.

This type of massage treatment can be booked by calling 204.489.5050, as it requires a specific therapist who specializes in pregnancy massage care.

Sports Massage

Performance | Maintenance | Post-Event

Sports Massage is the application of deeper, more stimulating Swedish techniques. Our registered massage therapists offer sports massages that are extremely useful for enhanced performance, some of which can be applied on the day of a specific event.

We also offer maintenance sports massage, designed to facilitate muscle recovery and maintain optimal range of motion.

Or try a post-event treatment, which will help to flush out muscles, eliminate lactic acid build-up, and restore nervous system activity to pre-activity levels. Often scheduled 1-3 hours after a major sports event or activity, this can improve your healing time and decrease the delayed onset of muscle soreness.

East Indian Head Massage

East Indian Head Massage is a holistic technique that provides numerous benefits for both physical and mental health. This ancient practice is designed to relieve stress and reduce tension, making it an excellent choice for those experiencing stress or tension, as well as those seeking overall relaxation and well-being.

This technique is known to alleviate neck and shoulder pain, reduce tension and headaches, and improve circulation and lymphatic flow. I can also boost the immune system, reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep quality, and increase mental clarity and focus.

This can be booked as a stand-alone treatment, or added before or after a massage therapy treatment. This treatment needs to be booked over the phone, as only specific practitioners are trained in this technique.

Treatment Add-ons

  • Cupping therapy is a great addition to your regular massage treatment. Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. By placing a plastic cup onto the skin, the therapist creates a vacuum in the cup which draws the skin, muscle, and fascia up into the cup.

This can relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue. We recommend adding cupping therapy to your regular massage treatment if you’re experiencing muscle tension such as neck pain, shoulder pain, tight trapezius, lower back pain, or plantar fasciitis.

  • Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to promote healing and a feeling of well-being and relaxation in the recipient. The essential oils are extracted from the parts of herbs and plants and contain all the properties of the plants themselves.

There are several ways of applying the oils, including adding the oils to your bath, or inhaling them, but the most popular and effective is through massage. Add aromatherapy treatment to your massage for a unique and refreshing experience.

  • Relax and detox for 30 minutes in our private infrared sauna before or after your massage, though we do recommend going in pre-massage to warm up your muscles and enhance your massage treatment. if you wish to freshen up before your treatment, in the same room you’ll find a shower with soap and towels provided. Our sauna is completely secluded and will be booked privately just for you! You are free to lounge freely while sitting on a towel.

Infrared saunas can provide relief from sore muscles and joint pain, improve sleep quality, and even help relieve arthritis pain. A single session can help increase blood circulation and stimulate your sweat glands, which will release any built-up toxins in the body. Regular sauna sweating can help detoxify the body as it releases heavy metals (lead, mercury, nickel, and cadmium) — which is why saunas are often recommended for firefighters. It can also help to flush the body of alcohol and nicotine.

If you’d like to add this experience on to your regular massage treatment just call our front desk staff so we can schedule it in. We want you to have adequate time before your treatment to enjoy the sauna.

  • Our private steam is a great way to relax and detoxify the body. Following the steam, enjoy a nice hot rinse with our five jet shower. Shampoos and soaps are provided as well as fresh, clean towels. Not only is it great for colds and the flu but can also benefit those suffering from bronchitis. It's also a great way to loosen up those muscles preceding a massage.
